I actually REALLY like this entire post. Because these are pretty relevant questions. However I have one quick clarification to make. There is a censorship on curse words in the French media, but
a) it only affects French words, so curses in Kanye’s songs wouldn’t be beeped out,
b) we, the French, are a very lenient people in terms of what we consider profane, and
c) curse words are kind of put on a scale, meaning that some curse words will always be censored, whereas the censorship on other curse words considered less offensive would be lifted during late-night programs for instance.
